Im not going to post anything for chapter 3 on here because I already wrote some things in my notebook. I just wanted to say that parts in this chapter were really confusing!
We will go through this chapter tomorrow and hopefully it will start making sense when we read it and discuss it together:) (Mrs. C)
Chapter 4: In the beginning of this chapter Meg woke up at 5:00 am wondering if what happend was all a dream. She found out it wasn't and told Proginoskes about Mr.Jenkins. Proginoskes kept saying the word Echthroi. Proginoskes took Meg to a different place and he said "The Echthroi have Xed" and Meg said that it was the most terrible thing she has ever seen. She learned a LOT of things from Proginoskes and i think there will be A LOT of excitement happening next! I was wondering if this book could also relate to the good vs. evil theme or love vs. hate because right now Mr.Jenkins seems like the bad guy in the story also known as the non-namer! Chapter 5:In chapter 5 there were 3 Mr. Jenkins. It was Meg's test to figure out witch one was the real one. When Progo said that the Echthroi start all war, did they start the "war"(sorta lika a war) between Meg and IT?? Do they have something to do with ALL the bad guys? I also think that the love vs. hate theme will apply in this book because Progo said the the Echthroi come for war and HATE so the answers to this book could be LOVE!!! Also the cure to Charles Wallace's illness could be LOVE! In the end she didn't get to pick one yet. I hope she gets it right!! I think she will or there probably wouldn't be anything more to this book or there probably wouldn't be anymore books!
Chapter 6:In chapter 6 Meg was about to ask Louise for help because she was sure that she knew, but Progo said she had to figure it out herself. I was wondering what would happen if Louise actually helped her. Progo kept saying that Meg had to love M. Jenkins and Proga kept asking Meg what ws one nice thing Mr.Jenkins did. Progo reminded Meg that the REAL Mr.Jenkins gave Calvin a pair of shoes when he didn't fit his. She ended up guessing Mr. Jenkins number 1 and she was right, but in th end Mr. Jenkins fainted...................
Chapter 7:In chapter 7 Mr.Jenkins thought that everything was a dream and at the end of chapter 6 he fainted. Blajeny and Progo took Meg, Calvin, and Mr.Jenkins to Metron Ariston. Blajeny said that they were in an idea, a postulatum. I was wondering how they could be in an idea. It seems soo weird! The author introduced the shrimp/mouse type creature and they said it was silver blue!?!?!?!?Thats a really weird color for an creature/animal thing (to me). The eyes of the mouse creature seemed to be like the man with the red eyes' eyes. They weren't dull and there was no pupil (maybe IT is in this book!?!?!?!). The mouse/shrimp creature turned out to be a Farandolae!! The name of th creature was Sporos. (I looked up sporos but all i could find is Sporos Computer Consulting.) Next they are going to go to Charles' mitochondria!! I wonder what will happen...............................
Chapter 8: In this chapter they were explaining more about Sporos. Blajeny and Meg said something about oxygen and I dont't get how that would help!?!?! They end up inside Charles, in Yadah. In Yadah you can't move and you can't see. It's kind of weird how you could be able to do anything there. Soo the nest test has to do with Sporos. In discussion I said that Meg might have to name somethin in Charles something that she has never known or seen. She doesn't know Sporos very well so she might have to do the same as she did with Mr.Jenkins. I think that wouldn't be that interesting to read about....Also I think that it might not have something to do with naming it could introuce something totally new and whatever that would be could be the theme of this book! Meg is learning how to kythe more better so the next test could involve kything! At the end it said "She was being Xed"!!! This is the twist of the story and I can't wait to see what happens next!..........
Chapter 9:In this chapter Meg learned how to love Mr.Jenkins even more! She actually said I love you! Also she some how got away from being Xed by having farandolea sacrifice themselves. She calmed down by doing math. She seems so comfterable with math! Progo and Meg talked about Sporos and echthroi. I think that maybe Progo can't be trusted because he keeps saying that the echthroi is someone else and he never says anything about himself..........I wonder...........
Chapter 10: Mr.Jenkins has become more open to Meg! To me I think that it is key to this book that Meg and Mr.Jenkins learn to love each other! I'm so glad that they are getting better at doing so! Its kind of weird that Progo isn't telling Meg everything she wants to know because of this I think that he is either hiding something or there isn't any time to explain. Mr. Jenkins kept asking to go home and he said that he wouldn't be any help to Meg. Meg kept explaining things to him but he just acted so scared and seemed like he didn't believe what she was telling him. Calvin brought up the WALL STREET JOURNAL.... Calvin thought that it might help Mr.Jenkins understand. It ws a science project. I WAS RIGHT! The second test is to name Sporos!! I wonder if they will succeed! I really hope so!..............
Chapter 11: In this chapter Progo said that the amount doesn't matter only names. He also only knows the names of the stars he says there is to many and that it isn't important to know. I think that if Progo knows all the stars names wouldn't he know how many there are? Meg kept trying to convince Sporos to deepen. Sporos kept argueing and saying that he doesn't need Charles Wallace and he doesn't need anyone. The truth is he needs Charles to survive! Without Charles Sporos wouldn't be alive. Meg keeps telling Sporos and the farandolae to come away from the echthroi and come to the senex to deepen because it all depended on them. This all goes back to the theme of teamwork! I'm starting to think that the best themes for this book is either teamwork or trust. Everyone has to trust each other AND work together in order for this all to be a success. Mr. Jenkins was getting himself killed to save everyone. Meg realized that the 3rd test was to save MR. Jenkins...........This is a scary mission to be inside Charles because if they aren't able to save Charles and he dies, they all die with him...............
Chapter 12: In this chapter Meg, Charles, Calvin, and Mr.Jenkins were being Xed by the echthroi. The only sollution was to fill the echthroi. Meg kept saying to the echthroi you are something you are NOT nothing you WILL be filled! Progo told Meg to hold them ALL he said that size didn't matter, she could do it! When Meg was out CHARLES WAS SAVED! Also NO ONE believed that Meg was inside Charles they all thought she was lying and joking around. The echthroi ARE GONE, but the sad part is that Progo Xed himself.:( The chapter is called a wind in the door because at the end the door opened untouched and unexpectidly! I wonder what will happen in the next book............ I still think the theme of this book would be either teamwork or trust!aand I rate this book a 8.4
I found this cover and it seems really odd. There is like a shrimp/mouse type creature on the bottom right and on the bottom left i think it is Mr.Jenkins. I think there are two of Mr.Jenkins because in chapter 5 meg had to pass a test and the test was to find the REAL Mr. Jenkins out of 3 Mr. Jenkins. In the middle of the book is (i think {most likely} Meg) and behind all the wings probably Charles.
